How to Delete All Screenshots on iPhone at Once
By CleanX TeamPublished
Quick answer
- In Photos, tap Collections, scroll to Media Types and tap Screenshots.
- Tap Select, then Select All (or pick the ones you don’t need), and delete them.
- Deleted screenshots stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days; empty it to get the space back now.
Apple says screenshots are saved to your photo library by default, and Photos keeps them together in a Screenshots album under Media Types. That makes them one of the easiest things to clear in bulk.
Delete all screenshots at once
Step 1: Open Screenshots
In Photos, tap Collections, scroll down to Media Types, then tap Screenshots.
Step 2: Select them
Tap Select, then Select All. To keep some, tap those to deselect them.
Step 3: Delete
Tap the Trash button and confirm.
Step 4: Empty Recently Deleted
Deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. To get the space back now, open it under Utilities and delete them there. See Recently Deleted on iPhone.
Keep new screenshots from piling up
Apple says that after you take a screenshot, it appears in full screen by default. To save it, tap the checkmark button and choose an option (Apple’s iOS 27 guide adds that you can also swipe up); to cancel or delete it, tap the close button (X). Apple’s iOS 27 guide adds that screenshots shown as a thumbnail in the lower-left corner save automatically. To check which you use, go to Settings › General › Screen Capture: Full-Screen Previews is the full-screen option.

Find screenshots that repeat with CleanX
If you take several screenshots of the same thing, CleanX groups similar screenshots together, usually marks one as Best and leaves it unselected, and shows how much space each group takes. Delete the rest in one go; they go to Recently Deleted for 30 days.
- Similar screenshots grouped, with the space each group takes
- Usually leaves the Best one in each group unselected
- Scanning is free; deleting needs CleanX Pro
Before you delete
- Look for screenshots you still need: codes, tickets, receipts and addresses often end up there.
- Delete other things in bulk too: see how to delete all photos on iPhone.
