How it works
Step 1: Scan on your phone
Allow access to your photos. CleanX compares them on the device; nothing is uploaded.
Step 2: Open a group
Each group shows its photos and the space they take. In every group one photo is left unselected; in similar groups it’s marked Best.
Step 3: Choose what to keep
Tap photos to change the selection, or use All Except Best to select everything except the kept photo in every group.
Step 4: Delete and confirm
On iPhone, iOS asks you to confirm and the photos go to Recently Deleted for 30 days. On Android, deleted photos are gone for good; on Android 11 and later, Android asks you to confirm first.
What it doesn’t do
- It works on the photos stored on your phone. Photos that are only in Google Photos or on a computer aren’t scanned.
- It doesn’t delete without you. Nothing is deleted until you tap Delete; on iPhone and on Android 11 and later, the system also asks you to confirm.
